THE MANDATE DAILY DEVOTIONAL SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2024

TOPIC: THE POWER OF LEARNING

TEXT: MATT 11:28-29: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Dearly beloved, I want you to know that learning is very powerful; Bishop David Oyedepo said in one of his books that the Holy Spirit told him some time ago that “Learning is richer than praying; learning has greater value than fasting. Learning is the master key to living” No wonder Jesus said in His word” come and learn of me! My yoke is not comparable to the yoke you are carrying about. What it takes to learn is far cheaper than what you are suffering now. Come and learn of me, and you shall find rest for your soul” I don’t know what others did, but prayer alone is not what led to the growth of the church (Acts 6:7). Brethren, please don’t misunderstand me, prayer is good but when I discovered what the Bible said in Acts 6:7 which says “And the word of God increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly, and a great company of the priest were obedient to the faith” my mentality change then, I knew that prayer was not enough and so I added learning and since then things has changed is much around me, as a result of the above scriptures, I took time to learn what it takes to do what I am sent to do, how to relate to people, how to make things work around me.

I defined knowledge as discovery, and wisdom as the application of knowledge. That is, wisdom is discovery applied, which equals recovery. When there is a discovery and it is correctly applied, it brings instant reward- that is, automatic recovery (Pro 24:14). So we can boldly say that nothing sets people free like knowledge. God bless you.
