THE MANDATE DAILY DEVOTIONAL SEPTEMBER 14TH, 2024

TOPIC: A WORD ABOUT VALUES

TEXT: 1 SAM 2:3: Talk no more so exceedingly proud; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

Child of God, before you set your goals, I want you to first determine your values because if you don’t, your gift could carry you to heights at which your character cannot sustain you. Before you will other how to live, determine what you really believe yourself. It’s possible to be in ministry a long time before learning how to be a real Christians. You can spend a lot of time developing your skills, but not enough developing a relationship with the Lord. Your ministry is not where you draw your strength from in the hour of your testing, but your strength comes from your relationship with God.

A pulpit is a tow-edged sword; first, it introduces us to men and women of God who bless our lives. However, if you have not heard clearly from God for yourself, it can pressure you into thinking, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be up there with them. “But if God didn’t tell you to do it, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Jesus said, “I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do” (John 17:4). What has God told you to do brethren? Because, if you don’t get a vision for your own life, you will probably spend it helping somebody else to fulfill his/hers. Today, ask yourself “Do I really know what I believe? Do I have a clear sense of His leading in my life? And work towards receiving the answers to this question. God bless you.
